Cumberland forever!

Eek, when 2 girls whisk each other off to Cumberland, Wisconsin for a crummy fall weekend, you know nothing good can come of it. The furnace at the house worked for the most part, but Ariane and I were told that if we became concerned, to turn the gas off at the source. What would be the cause for concern? The house burning down?! Erring on the side of caution, we compensated for the sub-indoor temperatures by starting in on the bloody marys at 3pm, and turning on the oven to bake a stellar homemade pumpkin pie. Since we were on a roll domestically, we decided to make the main course of chili. We both had had too much to drink to remember how we made it but it sure was good! A little TOO good... I ate so much my stomach retaliated and I was kneeling before the toilet before 9pm, sleeping soundly before 10. We ended up missing any possibility of nightlife in Cumberland (which is an experience in itself). A little pumpkin pie for breakfast, and we were on our way back to reality before noon. Next weekend: Chi-town with Katie and Sandra! Stay tuned...

The Boss and The Baggage Posted by Picasa

Angelic baggage handler... And everyone else Posted by Picasa

Whoops!

Ok, I apologize for these random pictures and postings. I'm learning!
Anyway, on to Halloween, one of the greatest Holidays ever (although it doesn't touch Christmas - wait till I post pictures of the 2005 Trailer Trash Xmas show!) Since I had the uniform from being out on the MSP airport ramp moving planes, Tom had his costume all set. He was the baggage handler. Too bad I didn't realize that reflective material creates quite the aura when photos are taken with a flash. So he was the handler, I was the baggage. Walking around in a suitcase isn't that bad, until you want to sit down. Not fun.
Anyhoo, my roomie Ariane was The Boss (which someone asked, "oh, you mean Bruce Springfield?") Springsteen, thanks. Time to start thinking of costumes for 2006...

You gotta love Halloween! Posted by Picasa
