This is regarding MPR station, 89.3, The Current. It's an excellent station, the DJs are great, it's giving lesser-known artists tons of notoriety, and it's filling up Minnesota music venues to capacity (much to my personal dismay; you have to buy tickets ahead of time now, if you're to get tickets at all.) The DJs are great, but let's talk about "the Luc(ia)". SHE BUGS THE PISS OUT OF ME! I love the music she plays for the most part, although she goes a bit overboard on the funk. But I've come to the conclusion that she is the uncensored version of me. I have thoughts that don't come out of my mouth because I believe I would sound like an idiot. I have to give her respect for the fact that, love her or hate her, she's not going to change her tune for anyone. But that doesn't stop me from gritting my teeth when she's telling her little personal stories about watching reality shows or meeting George Clinton. It's such a relief when at 7pm, I finally hear the voice of Maahk Whaet...
Look at the happy family! Tom and I decided to tire my nephews out by hiking through the woods in deep snow when we were in Duluth over New Year's. As Tom said, it was a magical time!
Oh, and my CRAZY brother-in-law came hiking with us too. What a weirdo! Just kidding Vince...
